Broadway Legacy Foundation CSO that implementing  Human Rights Programme in the Sub District of Sekhukhune funded by Beyond Zero for a period of six months with the following indicators:

  • Conduct social mobilization activities

  • Collaborate with PLHIV and TB networks, KP-led and AGYW-led & other community groups
  • Establish support groups for PLHIV to address internal stigma(AGYW, ABYM, WhatsApp Chronic illness)

  • Conduct community dialogues and community activations for effective programme

 

With the implementation of the programme in various communities in the sub district we have come up with initiatives to address issues and challenges regarding stigma.

We have managed to interact with the community of Masakaneng, Magagamatala, Monsterlus, Sephaku, Dennilton and Groblersdal, through door to door campaigns, Community dialogues, Support group  including linkages and referrals to various local facilities.

Through this engagement we managed to establish:

  • Adolescent young girls and women support group in Masakaneng and Magagamatala
  • Adolescent young boys and men support group in Masakaneng
  • Men’s forum in Magagamatala
  • WhatsApp support group for chronic illnesses
  • We are in the process of establishing a sustainability project in Magagamatala

 

 

We have managed to reach over 3000 people with our interventions including using Ikwekwezi, Moutse Radio Station and Facebook for media engagements. we have also collaborated with the following organizations:

  • SWAHAT
  • CMFSA
  • SAPS ( Crime and Prevention Unit)
